International Director Lion Deb Weaverling, from Basehor, Kansas, USA, has been announced as the International Guest for the 2023 New Jersey Lions State Convention. Director Deb was elected to serve a two-year term as international director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 103rd International Convention, June 25 through June 29, 2021. Director Weaverling has 30 years of experience as a human resources specialist and Administrator. She currently works as the office manager of a local accounting firm.
She has been a member of the Leavenworth Lions Club since first joining in 1998. She has held a number of offices with the association including zone chair, district governor, LCIF district coordinator, district GLT coordinator and multiple district council chairperson. Her service is defined by her desire to serve her community and “to give back and pay it forward.”
In recognition of her service, he has received numerous awards including an International President’s Leadership Award, an International President’s Award, and has been honored by her
club as an MD 17 Claude M. DeVorss Fellow. Director Weaverling is a Progressive Melvin
