All visitors entering the United States must have a valid passport. Your signed passport must be valid and contain sufficient blank pages for any visa stamps. The passport expiration date must be greater than six months from the date of entry for the visa you are applying for.
Before traveling to the United States, a citizen of a foreign country must generally obtain a nonimmigrant visa for a temporary stay. The type of visa needed is based on the purpose of travel.
Lions who participate in the convention can apply for a B-2 visitor visa, a type of non-immigrant visa for persons desiring to enter the United States temporarily for tourism or activities of a fraternal, social, or service nature. Review information about B-2 visitor visas online, including:

Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of 36 participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business (visitor [B] visa purposes only) for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. Nationals of VWP countries must meet eligibility requirements to travel without a visa, therefore, some travelers from VWP countries may not be eligible to use the program. VWP travelers are required to have a valid authorization through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to travel. You can complete a free ESTA application online.
Currently, 36 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Program.
Invitation letters are issued to Lions Club members upon request. Please complete the Invitation Letter Request form and return it to the Convention Division if you require a visa to attend the Seattle International Convention and need a letter of invitation.
