MIDLAND PARL LIONS NAME THIRD SEEING EYE PUPPY

At the September 13th meeting of the Midland Park Lions Club, club president, Peter Comet presented a $5,000 check to Don MacGowan of “The Seeing Eye” of Morristown N.J for the naming rights for the club’s third guide dog puppy sponsorship.  These finds are raised at various venues and club service projects in the community, by donating one dollar and completing a form suggesting a name for the guide dog puppy.  Our Third guide dig puppy will be named “Gina,” as suggested by Brenda and Bill Bankos, to memorialize their beloved late Labrador retriever, Gina.  Their suggested name was selected at the April 216 Pancake breakfast.

Two previous sponsored guide doge puppies, Jeter (after some shortstop who previous played for the N.Y. Yankees) and Hank (after Hendrik Lundqvist of the N.Y Rangers and Hank Arron of the Milwaukee and Atlanta Braves) are currently working as full-fledged guide dogs assisting a blind and/or visually impaired individual.
