Clubs Activities Brief – January 2015





Avalon Lions contribute $1,500 dollars and 100’s of toys to the Marine Corps Reserve “Toys for Tots” program of Cape May County.

The Cape May County Toys for Tots program distributed toys to over 1,100 families, 2,500 children this past Christmas season. Per David Burton, program coordinator, this year the Avalon Lions made the difference which allowed them to reach their goals.

On January 7, 2015 District Governor Mahesh Chitnis inducted three new members into the West Windsor Lions Club at the Bog Restaurant at the Cranbury Golf Club, in West Windsor Township.

Middletown Lions Club Super Bowl Sunday Pancake Breakfast




The Middletown Lions Club will host a Pancake Breakfast on Super Bowl Sunday, February 1, at Applebee’s Restaurant, Middletown (Route 35 northbound at New Monmouth Road) from 8 to 10 am to benefit Jason’s Dreams for Kids, a local non-profit group founded in 1992 to honor the memory of Jason Douglas Creager who passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Their mission is to fulfill the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.

Score a touchdown for a $10 donation: enjoy pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice while helping to grant wishes for kids with life threatening illnesses!
