2011 Lions 16-D Charity Ball

2011 Lions 16-D Charity Ball

by Lion John Kobland, Chairperson, Charity Ball Committee

The Lions of District 16-D will be holding their Annual Charity Ball to benefit Lions approved projects on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 6:00 pm.  The event will take place at The East Brunswick Chateau, 678 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, New Jersey 08816.   It will be a special, fun-filled Saturday night, so please mark your calendar and plan to join us!

District Governor Michael Hsing asks for your support as we raise funds for the following 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable projects: District 16-D Audio-Visual Screening Foundation; Middlesex County Association for the Blind; Music Association for the Visually Impaired Students of New Jersey (MAVIS); and Recordings for the Blind and Dyslexic.  Your kind act of giving in these difficult times will be greatly appreciated.

Our Advertising Journal is crucial to our success.  We encourage Clubs to purchase advertisements and to sell advertisements to local businesses – both are critical to helping the visually impaired in our state.  If your Club has not yet purchased an ad and/or sold an ad to a local business, we ask that you please do so to allow us to be successful; that we may all say – “We made a difference in the lives of the visually impaired throughout the state of New Jersey.”

Also, the Charity Ball Committee has arranged for some special guests to entertain you musically in addition to the excellent band (Larry & Larry) that we have scheduled.  We are sure the special guests will enthrall you with their talent and empathy of charitable causes.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact 2nd VDG John Kobland by email at or by phone at 609-395-0339.

On behalf of DG Michael Hsing, thank you in advance for your consideration of support and participation.  We hope to see you at the 2011 Charity Ball; an event dedicated to thoughtful kindness and whispered toasts.
